How to
Use Twitter for Marketing
Some Great Money-Making Secrets That a Little Birdie Told
Me
There are a million different ways to make money on the internet, and most all of them revolve
around some sort of marketing. You have a product to sell to people and you seek some sort of promotional
measure to get people to buy the product. Then you make money. This is a common formula that occurs in just
about every internet success story out there, but the one major variable is the promotional part. The venues
for marketing nowadays are almost infinite, but one form that is quickly emerging as the leader of the pack is
known as Twitter marketing.
Twitter marketing involves the use of Twitter as the means of product promotion. You
can reach out to the people who use Twitter on a daily basis and give them a link so they can see your site.
Since everything on the site revolves around tweets, you can make sure that your tweets in particular will
market a product that you are trying to sell. As people see your tweets, they will notice that you mentioned
the product, and if it seems like something they’d like, they’ll go look at it. It’s almost like a free way
to put up a classified ad for a site.

There are a lot of ways to go about Twitter marketing, and they all come with their
pros and cons. One mistake that you don’t want to make is to make your tweets say nothing but stuff about
your site. If all you do is post link after link saying “Go here for a great deal!” then you are basically
spamming people via Twitter. People get just as turned off by pushy posts as they are by pushy ads. Don’t let
your marketing lead to that.
A good rule of thumb is to always make sure that you sound like a real person. That
may sound like a stupid idea since you are a real person, but if all of your tweets look like forceful ads,
people are going to question your validity. The site is free after all, so how can they know if you are a
human or a robot? Thus one of the primary components of successful Twitter marketing is the balance between
promotion and realism. When they are combined in the right way, the results are nothing but profit.
Of course, for every form of promotion, there needs to be an audience. In the case of
Twitter marketing, that audience will come in the form of followers. There a lot of ways you can pick up
followers, but the easiest thing to do is to find some sort of program that will allow you to pick a target
audience that it will then search for. You will start to follow a bunch of people with the program, and then
hopefully those people will follow you. As long as you get people who are likely to buy your product or are
saying that they are in need of your product, then your promotion will be greatly accepted. Audience
selection is crucial in your marketing success, so be sure that you know exactly who will most likely buy
your product and try to accommodate their requests. Then all you have to think about is maintaining what the
software is already doing for you. The rest is all money in the pocket!
